The school bus that serves the school is a public bus run by Tally Ho! It may not have seatbelts for all the children (public buses do not need to do so).
It leaves the Quay at 8:20am and Kingsbridge Community College (KCC) car park at approx 8.25am, (PLEASE USE THIS LOCATION if you need to park and put your child on the bus), travelling through South Milton and arriving at All Saints Thurlestone Academy at approx 8.40am.
At the end of the day, the bus collects children from school at 3.35pm and on the reverse route delivers children back to KCC by 4.00 pm (approx) and the Quay 5 minutes later.
You can put your child on the bus in South Milton or collect from South Milton too. There are several stops enroute (Suttoncross, Old Post Office, Wakeham Farm, Sunnyside, Middle Park).
We ask that you always arrange for someone to meet your child off the bus. It is a public service and the driver may have to go on to other duties, so cannot wait with your child.
Children who live in the catchment (and route of the bus) of the school may be able to travel for FREE if they have a bus pass. Passes are issued from Devon County Council. Contact: www.devon.gov.uk and follow links for SCHOOLS and transport, or phone: 01392 383000 and ask for Fiona MacFarlane-Day.
PLEASE NOTE - Children who do not have bus passes must pay the driver £1:50 for each one way journey when they get on the bus - the driver may not allow them on the bus if they do not have their money.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO SEND YOUR CHILD BY BUS PLEASE LET YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER OR THE OFFICE STAFF KNOW. We are holding lists in the school office for REGULAR users of the bus on each day.
If your child leaves any of their belongings on the bus, please call Tally Ho on 853081
PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME YOUR CHILD CAN USE THE BUS - ASK US FIRST!
