Here at All Saints' CofE Academy, Thurlestone, we are linked to the church here in Thurlestone, as well as the church that serves South Milton.
Once a week, Father Daniel visits us to lead an Act of Worship here at the Academy.
The children love Father Daniel's visits and the interactive elements to his Worship.
We also visit the church here in Thurlestone once a month, on the first Thursday, for an Act of Worship. This is led by Father Daniel and we are sometimes joined by other members of our wider church family.
Let me introduce myself. I am the Church of England priest for several village churches in the area, including All Saints’ Church, Thurlestone. As the Rector of Thurlestone I lead church services and link in to the life of the wider village and community.
Part of my wider role involves my work here at All Saints’ Church of England Academy. I lead the Thursday morning collective worship in school and the school worship that takes place in Church. I also like to spend time in school meeting with the children and seeing what happens in the classroom.
In addition to this I am the Chair of the Ethos Committee of the South Hams Hub. It’s a great privilege to work in this school and to see the children grow and develop, nurtured by the values of our school community.
The Revd. Daniel Hartley
